  6. Ulead Viewer for Windows is a powerful
  7. viewing/converting utility that allows you to
  8. quickly preview, open, view, corp, save, save
  9. to other format, and make minor modifications
  10. to image files.  This version supports BMP,
  11. CGM, EPS, JPEG, PCD, PCX, TGA, TIFF, PNG,
  12. 001, FAX, DCX, SCI, SHG, and WMF formats.

  20. This uncrippled image handling program is free, no questions
  21. asked!

  23. Why are we doing this? Because the need for fast and
  24. accurate communication becomes more critical every day. Now,
  25. more than ever, much of it is taking place over networks,
  26. BBSs and the Internet. And a lot consists of multimedia
  27. files. Ulead specializes in multimedia solutions. Consider
  28. them a gift to help all of us communicate better.

  30. *************  What is Ulead Viewer?  ***************
  31.  
  32. Viewer is a powerful viewing utility that allows you to
  33. quickly open, view, save, and make minor modifications to
  34. image files. You can zoom in to 8x and out to 1/8x size
  35. according to your needs. As a stand-alone program, you can
  36. open practically any image in Viewer by dragging it from
  37. File-Manager or through its Open dialog box.  When used with
  38. File Manager, double-clicking on an image in File Manager
  39. automatically shows it in Ulead Viewer, (as long as the
  40. image type is associated with Ulead Viewer in your system).
  41. Viewer allows you crop unwanted portions of images and has a
  42. unique "global viewer" that helps you navigate about images
  43. that are larger than their windows.  By openiing a file in
  44. one format and then saving to another, Viewer allows you to
  45. do file conversion.  You can open multiple viewer instances
  46. and use 'Tile', 'Always On Top', and other commands to
  47. arrange and compare them on the desktop.

  51. To run these programs on your system, you must have the
  52. following:

  55. *  MS-Windows v. 3.1 (or higher)
  56. *  Microsoft Mouse (or compatible)
  57. *  At least 2.2 MB disk space (for program files)

  61. After downloading ULVIEW11.EXE, follow these steps to
  62. install the programs on your system:

  64. 1.  Create a temporary directory and place ULVIEW11.ZIP in
  65.     it, (ex. C:\TEMP).  Extract the ZIP file with PKUNZIP,
  66.  
  67.                PKUNZIP ULVIEW11.ZIP
  68.  
  69. 2.  Open File Manager and double-click on the INSTALL.EXE program.
  70.     Or, use the Run command to execute INSTALL.EXE program.

  72. 3.  Follow the instructions on screen and click OK.
